Rose women host St. Mary-of-the-Woods today in crosstown battle

TERRE HAUTE — Rose-Hulman Institute and St. Mary-of-the-Woods will meet in the annual Clabber Girl Trophy women’s basketball game tonight in Rose-Hulman’s Hulbert Arena.

The Engineers enter the matchup with a 5-8 record, while St. Mary-of-the-Woods holds a 4-12 mark. Rose-Hulman dropped a 57-45 decision to Manchester College on Saturday, while St. Mary-of-the-Woods fell by a 74-60 margin to Indiana University-Southeast on Saturday.

The Pomeroys hold an 11-3 lead in the Clabber Girl Trophy series, although Rose-Hulman has won each of the last three meetings. The Engineers captured an 86-45 victory in Hulbert Arena last season.
