Mental Health America of Vigo County is celebrating the one-year birthday of its latest supportive housing development, YOUnity Village, located at 1460 Spruce St. in Terre Haute.
The celebration, from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, will include a presentation from Katrina Van Valkenburgh, managing director, Central Region, Corporation for Supportive Housing, Greater Chicago Area as well as live music, cake and tours of YOUnity Village apartments. Reservations are not required.
Mental Health America of Vigo County is dedicated to achieving victory over mental illness. Through advocacy, education, support and services, it promotes mental wellness, preventing mental disorders and helping people live mentally healthier lives in Vigo County.
YOUnity Village, a 30-unit supportive housing development in Terre Haute has been recognized as the best in the state receiving the Lt. Governor’s Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing and Community Development. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that use creativity and imagination to impact their community and constituents.
