TERRE HAUTE — Palestine has a new business. Bella Vista LLC is now offering wine and beer at 300 S. Main St. in Palestine Ill., at the site of the former Pioneer Winery.

The business carries a variety of wines from local to regional and around the world; cold beer is also available. Owners Michael Fulling and Angela Wilson have renovated the tasting room and have built an outdoor wine garden on the back of the former bank building.

In 2013, Bella Vista LLC plans to expand its services to include production and bottling of its own wine, as well as the installation of a kitchen to handle sales of bread, cheese, pesto and other side items to customers.

Hours are 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The business is also available for private parties.
