TERRE HAUTE —
JWS Machine will stage an open house and ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. U.S. Congressman Larry Bucshon, Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett and other state, local and military leaders will be on hand to welcome the business to Terre Haute. Stark Industries, the parent company of JWS Machine, recently moved into the 87,000-square-foot building known as Building 2 at Terre Haute International Airport-Hulman Field. The building had been vacant for seven years.
During the month-long relocation, more than half a million pounds of equipment and material were moved, all without much interruption to production. Stark brings nearly 50 jobs to Terre Haute, with another 15 jobs expected to be filled by the end of the year. Additionally, Stark has made a nearly $4 million investment in Terre Haute, including property improvements and new equipment purchases.
