Vectren Energy to report news via Twitter

EVANSVILLE — Vectren Energy Delivery is now providing company news and career opportunities via its Twitter feeds, @VectrenNews and @VectrenCareers.

“From a Vectren-related news standpoint, Twitter provides a fast, easy way to communicate with our customers and local media outlets,” said Mike Roeder, Vectren’s vice president of government affairs and corporate communications. “As for our job openings, we will continue to use traditional media to disburse this information, but social media allows us to reach a new pool of potential job candidates.”

News releases posted on Vectren.com via the News Room link will be sent out via Twitter, alerting followers when there is a new addition. Vectren career opportunities will be posted from @VectrenCareers. Postings will include a link to the detailed job description and online application viaVectren.com/Careers.

Vectren’s Twitter accounts are designed to disseminate information to the public and currently do not serve as a customer service portal. To report a natural gas leak or address a customer service-related issue, customers must still call 1-800-227-1376.
