Harsha Behavioral Center recently appointed Cindy Dowers to the position of chief nursing officer. Dowers has more than 18 years of experience in the nursing field. She started at Harsha Behavioral Center in May as a charge nurse and was recently promoted.
“Cindy has natural leadership qualities,” said Chief administrative officer Holly Near.
In this position, Dowers will oversee all aspects of the nursing care for patients at Harsha Behavioral Center. She previously worked as registered nurse manager at a Wabash Valley hospital. She has also served as a Clinical Instructor at Indiana State University.
“I am looking forward to the new challenge, and am excited to work with our patients and their psychiatric needs,” Dowers said.
Harsha Behavioral Center is a free standing psychiatric hospital for children, adolescents and geriatrics. The center opened in 2008.
