Honey Creek Mall collecting children books through end of March

The Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — Honey Creek Mall is collecting new children’s books donations through the end of March.

The book drive began in early March when the mall participated in Read Across America, an annual reading motivation and awareness program sponsored by the National Education Association.

Book donation bins are located throughout the mall, and shoppers can donate books at select stores for free items from mall retailers.

To encourage reading all month long, children up to age 12 can pick up bookmarks with rewards for reading at Customer Service and select retailers.

Once a child reads four books, they can redeem the bookmark for free treats at participating mall eateries.
