Hundreds of hourly positions open for 17-day fair

INDIANAPOLIS — The Great Indiana State Fair is hoping to fill more than 500 hourly positions during a job fair from 3 to 7 p.m. May 30. Most of the jobs are temporary positions that cover the duration of the fair, which runs Aug. 2-18.

The line is set to begin forming at 2 p.m. at the Agriculture/Horticulture Building in Indianapolis.

Positions available: ticket sellers, gate supervisors, parking attendants, parking supervisors, facility maintenance personnel, security personnel, shuttle bus staff, grandstand ticket takers, ushers and educational exhibit attendants.

Interviews will be conducted on site and resumes are welcomed. Informal dress is fine. Each person arriving before 7 p.m. will be interviewed, and everyone has the same opportunity to be hired regardless of when they arrive.
