TERRE HAUTE — The next Last Will and Testimony program will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on July 30 in the lower level classrooms B and C of the Vigo County Public Library at Seventh and Poplar streets.

“Last Will and Testimony” is a free four-part program designed to provide resources so people can make informed choices about long-range planning and enhance their quality of life.

This class will cover four specific parts:

• “Senior Law Instruction” includes information about senior rights, Medicaid, Medicare and senior living arrangements.

• “Asset Protection” covers health and life insurance, keys to successful investing, tax efficient transfers of wealth without a revocable trust and how to title assets to accomplish your goals; living accommodation options and information about veteran’s benefits.

• “Vital Documents to provide tools and instruction” focuses on wills and trusts — what they will and won’t do for you; power of attorney – what everyone needs to prepare for end of life. Participants will be instructed on living wills, funeral planning, specifically explaining the difference between pre-planning and pre-paying, benefits to pre-planning, the advantages of pre-paying and how to do both. Additionally, cremation and green burials will be discussed.

• “Eternal Living Accommodations” will provide guidance to ensure peace of mind and offer information to ensure “post” life assurance.

Class size is limited to 30 registrants. Reservations are required: Call 812-917-4970 or 877-223-6109.

Classes will be taught by Brother Edgar Guy, chaplain of Senior Education Ministries; Rick Brewster, attorney, Frisse and Brewster Law Offices; Terry Daniels, Harvest Financial; Toni Garzolini, State Farm Insurance; Becky Compton, Roselawn Funeral Home; Gary Greiner, Greiner Funeral Home; Brian Hewitt, Social Security Administration; and Harriet Vaught Family First Home Care; and Lisa Bell, VistaCare Hospice.
