Spill the Beans with a Tax Preparer set

TERRE HAUTE — Senior Education Ministries, Inc. has scheduled Spill the Beans with a Tax Preparer Brunch, featuring Andrew Stadler of Stadler Tax Service, Terry Daniels of Hoosier Heartland Financial Services, Gary Greiner of Greiner Funeral Home and Cremation Services and Marjorie Hopkins, author of “Dying to Meet Him — Wit and Wisdom from a Funeral Director’s Wife,” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Wabash Senior Citizen’s Center at 300 S. Fifth St.

Stadler is founder and executive chief financial officer for Stadler & Co, Inc.  Duties Include management and oversight of six office locations throughout Indiana. He oversees tax preparation for more than 8,000 individuals, corporations, partnerships and nonprofits.

Daniels will share discuss ways to protect your assets, keys to successful investing, tax efficient transfers of wealth without a revocable trust, and how to title assets to accomplish your goals.

Hopkins, as the wife of a funeral director, got a much closer glimpse of death and, in consequence, life. Through this time, and while praying for years about her own fear of death, she overcame and was drawn to the conclusion that humans avoid thinking about and planning for this one unavoidable event in life.

Her passion for writing, her deep Christian faith and her service to her husband’s business in the early 1980s combined to produce “Dying to Meet Him — Wit and Wisdom from a Funeral Director’s Wife,” published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, LLC.

A complimentary meal of beans and cornbread will be provided by Greiner Funeral Home and Cremation Services. There will be an opening prayer and veterans in attendance will be recognized. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling 812-232-3245 or 812-232-7575.

For more information about the event call 812-230-7772 or email loriaplin@gmail.com.
