TERRE HAUTE —
Join Marilyn Dudley at 12:10 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Vigo County Public Library to explore doing business on the Internet.
The library’s Brown Bag Program “Doing Business on the Internet” is designed to give a beginner the basic information needed to address the task of getting a presence on the Internet. This class will give the steps needed to put a website in place. Beyond the website, topics such as marketing, customer service, Internet rules and regulations, benefits and risks of Internet businesses, and other aspects of running and owning a business will be presented.
This program is co-sponsored by SCORE and Ivy Tech and will be presented by Dudley, who serves as the Ivy Tech Terre Haute regional corporate college trainer. Her education includes an undergraduate degree in math education with a masters’ degrees in library science and business administration.
Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Marilyn spent 20-plus years working as a programmer and then supervisor, manager, and director of several departments including quality, purchasing, and inventory control. Since leaving the corporate environment Dudley has worked on a construction site as an office manager and now works with businesses to develop and deliver training programs to increase the skills of employees.
