Spence/Banks Oil breaks ground


Spence/Banks Oil, with 34 years of service to the community, has broken ground on its third Pacific Pride commercial fueling site in Terre Haute.

Spence currently has sites at 511 N. First St. and 2026 E. Harlan Drive. The new site will be off Indiana 46 on Bill Farr Drive, behind Walmart.

The new Pacific Pride fleet fueling site will offer 87 ocatane gasoline, premium diesel, off-road diesel and diesel exhaust fluid.

As an independent franchisee of Pacific Pride, Spence/Banks Oil offers commercial fuel cards for use at more than 180,000 fueling stations across the United States.

SCORE to host workshop at library


Counselors to America’s Small Business is hosting a workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Vigo County Library at Poplar and Seventh streets.

The topics will include starting a new business, financing, accounting, marketing, legal issues and distribution.

The fee is $25 per person or couple, which includes a workbook.

To register, call the SCORE office at 812-231-6763 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

Registration will also be available at the event.
