TERRE HAUTE —
Gov. Mike Pence announced the appointment of Jessica Robertson to commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration, a role she will begin on Wednesday.
Robertson returns to Indiana after serving as the chief procurement officer for the Tennessee Department of General Services for about two years. While in that role, she centralized the procurement function throughout Tennessee, negotiated multi-million dollar contracts and established procurement policy for the solicitation process, contract administration and contract management.
“She exemplifies what it means to work hard with respect and integrity,” Pence said.
Robertson served as deputy commissioner in the Indiana Department of Administration from September 2010 to July 2011. During that time, she managed the operations for the state’s procurement division and cultivated relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
“I’m thrilled to return to Indiana and serve Hoosiers,” Robertson said. “It’s with great commitment and dedication that I’ve accepted the opportunity to work in the Pence administration and to help the governor move Indiana from good to great.”
Robertson graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2005.
