TERRE HAUTE — Patrick M. Sims has joined First Financial Bank as a staff attorney and he works in the Operations Center at 1401 S. Third St.

He is admitted to practice in Indiana as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern districts of Indiana. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association.

Sims received his juris doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2012. He is a 2007 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English. He also completed a study abroad experience in Florence, Italy, in 2006. He is a 2003 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School.

Sims is the recipient of a Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence-Gold Level for pro bono service. He served as a certified legal intern in the Marion County Public Defender Agency and as a law clerk with Collignon & Dietrick, P.C., in Indianapolis. During law school, he also served as a research assistant for a faculty member.

Sims serves on First Financial’s Wellness Committee. He is a runner and has participated in half- and full-marathons and triathlons in Chicago and the Indianapolis area.
