TERRE HAUTE — The Indianapolis Business Journal recently named Watermark Residential as one of the 25 “Largest Indianapolis-Area Commercial Real Estate Developers.” Watermark was 4th on the list. The rankings were based on total square footage completed or under construction in 2012.

The IBJ cited Watermark Residential for developing 2,733,836 square feet of commercial real estate, all of which was multifamily, in 2012. The publication also mentioned Watermark on Cumberland in Fishers; Sycamore Terrace (Phase II) in Terre Haute; Watermark on Hurstbourne in Louisville, Ky.; and Watermark at Hamburg Place in Lexington, Ky., as “sample” Watermark Residential projects for 2012.

“This recognition reflects the contributions made by everyone on our entire staff to the success Watermark Residential enjoyed last year. We are proud of what we accomplished in 2012 and grateful for the notice we have received,” said Eric Garrett, managing partner of Watermark Residential. “Our inclusion on this list shows that we have a product people believe in. We are anxious to continue building on the success we have achieved thus far.”

Watermark Residential is actively working projects in 12 states. Watermark on Cumberland is the company’s first project in the Indianapolis area.

The Indianapolis Business Journal recently named Thompson Thrift Development as one of the 25 “Largest Indianapolis-Area Commercial Real Estate Developers.” Thompson Thrift was 24th on the list. The rankings reflected total square feet completed or under construction in 2012.

“It’s an honor to be included on this list with so many other great companies. This recognition is much appreciated and is the result of the hard work everyone on our team put in over the past year. It truly was a team effort,” said Ashlee Boyd, senior vice president, Thompson Thrift Development. “We are looking forward to using this momentum to help us reach new levels in the coming year.”

The IBJ cited Thompson Thrift Development for developing 131,000 square feet of commercial real estate in 2012. The publication also mentioned Warsaw Commons in Warsaw; Paseo Lindo in Chandler, Ariz.; and Gateway Commons in Clarksville, Tenn., as “sample” Thompson Thrift Development projects for 2012.
