Developmental Services Inc. has been accredited by CARF International for several of its programs. DSI was awarded a three-year accreditation, the highest awarded by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, for its community integration efforts as well as for Community Employment Services, which includes job development, supports and job-site training.
DSI also received full accreditation for its Organizational Employment Services and special commendation for its Governance Standards Application.
“This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served,” said Brian Boon, president/CEO of CARF International in a letter to DSI. “Services, personnel and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.”
CARF is an independent, nonprofit organization provides accreditation services worldwide at the request of health and human service providers.
DSI is a nonprofit organization established in 1975 and provides services for children and adults with mental, physical and emotional challenges in 39 counties in central and southern Indiana.
DSI programs include early intervention for infants and toddlers, transition services, job training and placement, respite care, community living, group homes, family support, networking and utilizing community resources.
