---- — Great Lakes Caring Home Health and Hospice announced its 2012 Awards for Excellence. Among those recognized were three facilities operated by American Senior Communities.

Rosewalk in Indianapolis; Springhill Village in Terre Haute; and Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation in Williamsport were among the senior healthcare providers recognized for quality service.

Altogether 2,200 providers were nominated, and 122 skilled and assisted living facilities, physicians and hospitals in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio were selected for this annual award. The award honors those who provide collaborative effort to provide quality care while avoiding unnecessary rehospitalizations.

The facilities are three of more than 60 operated by American Senior Communities. ASC services include New Energy Wellness, Moving Forward Rehabilitation, Auguste’s Cottage Memory Care, Skilled Nursing Care, Long-Term Care, Hospice and Respite.
