Diane C. Smith was recently promoted to commercial loan operations manager and officer at First Financial Bank. She works from the Main Office Banking Center at 1 First Financial Plaza in downtown Terre Haute.
Smith, who joined First Financial in 1990 as a teller and cashier, supervises 17 commercial lending clerical employees. Her almost 25-year banking career includes experience in the mortgage servicing department and 14 years in commercial lending, including her most recent position as commercial central credit administration center manager.
She is a 2005 graduate of Ivy Tech State College, where she earned an associate’s degree in business administration, with a specialty in finance. She is a member of the Wabash Valley Chapter of American Institute of Bankers and has completed many AIB courses. Smith graduated from Marshall (Ill.) High School in 1988.
Aaron White, of Robinson, Ill., has been hired as the financial aid coordinator at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson.
White previously taught remedial English and GED prep courses at the college. Previous to his positions at LTC, he was a graduate assistant at Eastern Illinois University, a special education paraprofessional at Nuttall Middle School, and a personal tutor.
He earned an associate’s degree from LTC and a bachelor’s in English and master’s degrees from EIU.
As the new financial aid coordinator, White will be responsible for developing and implementing guidelines and procedures for administering the financial assistance program, coordinating the veterans’ assistance program, packaging financial aid awards and coordinating the student work study program.
District 5 Indiana conservation officers are joined by two new field officers to Parke and Owen Counties. Eli Hendricks has been assigned to Parke County and Aaron Todd to Owen County.
Hendricks, 24, is a native of West Terre Haute. He graduated in 2008 from West Vigo High School and went on to graduate from Vincennes University, with an associate’s degree in conservation law enforcement and a bachelor’s degree.
Todd, 24 of Heltonville, Ind., graduated in 2008 from Bedford North Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science in 2012 from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.
Todd received honor graduate status from Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. At the academy, he served as an assistant leader for his squad. Todd ranked fourth in firearms qualifications in the class of 95 graduates. He also was honored for having the highest grade-point average of the graduating class.
Century 21 of Terre Haute has announced that Natalie Green, sales manager of the Century 21 team, recently acquired part ownership of the Terre Haute office, along with owner Judi Evelo.
Green has been an agent at Century 21 for the past five years and was recently positioned as sales manager of the company. Green will continue her role as sales manager.
James Ramer has recently joined Hamilton Center, Inc. as a peer veteran recovery specialist at Hamilton Center, Inc. He is certified as a community health worker and recovery specialist.
Ramer works with adults and veterans to help them achieve their own goals and provide support. He will be developing the program by building community partnerships in Vigo, Clay, Parke, Vermillion and Sullivan counties.
Ramer served nine years in the Indiana Air National Guard at the Terre Haute International Airport.
