Health care Marketplace navigators to host event

TERRE HAUTE — Residents interested in signing up for Marketplace insurance, finding out more about options or meeting an in-person with Navigator, there will be an enrollment and information event  from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at 1436 Locust St. in Terre Haute. There will be follow up appointments on March 26.

Navigators are trained and certified to provide assistance in a fair, accurate and impartial manner to people enrolling in health care plans on the Marketplace. Navigators conduct public education activities to raise awareness about affordable coverage options and provide referrals to other consumer assistance resources when appropriate.

During the last three weeks of the open enrollment period, it is expected that more Indiana residents will be signing up for affordable, quality health care because of the Affordable Care Act. February data indicates that more than 47,000 people in Indiana have signed up through the Federal Marketplace.

For more information on enrollment or about the Marketplace, contact the ASPIN Health Navigator call center at 877-313-7215 or email

The enrollment event is sponsored by Wabash Valley Health Center along with the Hamilton Center, Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana (ASPIN) and the Indiana Primary Health Care Association.
