Lugar to speak at Indiana Chamber Legislative Dinner

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Legislative Dinner offers an opportunity for the business community to come together with lawmakers and policymakers and let them know about the important issues that impact their organizations every day.

Former U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar will address the audience at the Feb. 12 event at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.

Lugar was revered as a bipartisan voice of common sense, reason and collaboration in the halls of Congress for decades.

After serving 36 years in the U.S. Senate, he continues to represent American interests internationally as president of the Lugar Center in Washington D.C., and in a variety of other roles.

In 2013, Lugar was named as a recipient of the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He was also honored as the Indiana Chamber’s 2013 Government Leader of the Year.

The dinner reception will begin at 6 p.m. and the dinner will follow at 7. Tickets are $149 each or may be purchased as a table of 10 for $1,399; they are available at www.indianachamber.com/
