Get a carwash to support Big Brothers Big Sisters

The Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — Mike’s Carwash will partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters on Saturday to raise money and awareness for youth mentoring programs, donating half the proceeds of all Works washes that day.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will benefit from the Mike’s Mentors Kids fundraiser, now in its fourth year. During the one-day event, half the proceeds of every Works wash, a $15 value, will be donated to the organization. All funds raised will help offset the cost of programming for youth mentoring.

The event will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Mike’s Carwash on U.S. 41 in Terre Haute.

Big Brothers Big Sisters partners with parents, guardians, volunteers, schools, donors and others in the community to help youth in the program achieve:

n higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships;

n educational success; and

n avoidance of risky behaviors.

In the event of inclement weather, a rain date of Aug. 25 has been set.
