TERRE HAUTE — Nick Pell has been promoted to a member of the Fuson Automotive management team and will serve as the dealership’s new finance and insurance manager. Pell has worked for several years as a member of the Fuson sales team. In his new role, Pell will produce additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new and used vehicle customers.

Dennis W. Bryant has been named vice president, agricultural lending, for First Financial Bank. He works in the FFB banking center at 1311 N. Lincoln Road in Rockville.

Bryant joined First Financial in 2008 as an agricultural lending officer. He works with clients in Parke and Vermillion counties. His experience includes about 20 years in agricultural lending, seven years in farm mortgage underwriting and four years as an internal auditor.

Bryant grew up on a farm in a rural area of southwest Iowa, near Stanton. He is a 1968 graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agronomy. He received his master’s degree in management in 1985 from Webster University.

He’s a 1996 graduate of the U.S. Army War College, where he along with other senior military officers participated in a two-year U.S. Army program that emphasized strategic leadership and international relations. The distance education program included two resident phases at Carlisle Barracks in Carlisle, Pa. Retired Army Col. Bryant previously served in command and staff positions, including serving as a platoon leader in Vietnam. His active-duty service years included 1968-1971 and 1982-1997. His U.S. postings included Fort Lewis, Wash., where he served as an operations officer.

Bryant and his wife Cynthia have lived in many locations, including Fort Knox, Ky., San Francisco, Calif., Lafayette, Ind., Missouri and Iowa. They have three adult children and eight grandchildren, who live in Kansas City, Kan., northern Illinois and near Danville, Ill.

Bryant is a supporter of 4-H and soil conservation programs in Parke and Vermillion counties.
