TERRE HAUTE — The radio ministry WBGL raised more than $667,000 during Sharathon, its annual spring fundraiser held April 2-5. The record-breaking fundraiser for the station approaches 65 percent of the listener-supported station’s $1,080,000 goal.

This was WBGL’s first fundraiser, with seven new frequencies reaching into southern Illinois. With the recent addition, WBGL’s coverage area stretches from the Chicago area to Carbondale and from St. Louis to Terre Haute. Contributions can still be made online at www.wbgl.org or by calling 800-475-9245.
