TERRE HAUTE — Scott’s Custom Colors recently won a contest through Enterprise which entailed a $5,000 donation to a charity important to them. They have chosen to donate this money to Autism Speaks. A check presentation ceremony took place Thursday at the business at 3140 N. 25th St.

Bridges of Indiana’s intake specialist, Rick Spaulding, was to accept the donation that will go toward the 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks event which takes place on Sept. 21 at Wabash Valley Fairgrounds.

Terre Haute has become a leading force against the fight to raise awareness and find a cure for this confusing disorder which now affects 1 in 88 children in the United States.
