Wabash Valley College to offer class on software

Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Ill., will offer the ideal class for the working person whose organization has just upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 or the person who purchased a new computer with Office 2007 installed. The five major subject areas are: Word 2007, Excel 2007, Access 2007, PowerPoint 2007 and the Internet.

This class, Business Computer Systems, DAP 1201, will be taught by Wayne Morris and will meet from 5:30 to 8:20 p.m. on Monday evenings in Main Hall 202 for the fall semester. WVC also offers Records Management and Office Management as online courses this fall semester. BUS 2202, Records Management, includes the study of the creation, use, maintenance, retention, protection, and preservation of all types of records for the purpose of reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and serving management through records handling functions. Office Management, BUS 2203, covers the principles of management as applied to office problems. Emphasis will be placed on the role of the office manager, managing human resources, the office environment, and the latest in office concepts. John Kendall is the instructor for both classes.
