Edwin Kluemper has been hired as a pilot for the Brazil Air Evac Lifeteam base.
Air Evac Lifeteam is a membership-supported air ambulance service providing emergency health care and rapid medical transport to rural communities throughout the central United States. The rapidly growing company operates 63 bases in 11 states and is the largest independently owned air ambulance service in the United States.
Kluemper graduated from the U.S. Army flight school in 1982. Before coming to Air Evac, he served as a maintenance test pilot with the Indiana National Guard for 15 years.
“I chose to work for Air Evac because it is a great place to work,” Kluemper said. “I felt this was the ideal opportunity to continue my career as a pilot.”
Each Air Evac crew includes a pilot, paramedic and registered nurse, on duty 24 hours a day. The crew can respond to the scenes of medical emergencies or transport patients between medical facilities.
Kluemper and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 28 years. They have two children and five grandchildren.
