Wage and Hour seminar set in July
For even the most savvy human resources professionals, labor and wage laws can be tricky without continued education. Employers must stay up to date on changing Department of Labor standards including the new Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. These laws and other complex compliance issues will be addressed at the Indiana Wage and Hour seminar on July 22 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis.
Presented by attorneys at Ice Miller LLP, the event will provide attendees the tools to protect their companies while ensuring employees receive fair compensation. Among the featured topics:
coverage and exemptions
equal pay and child labor laws
payment of wages
wage garnishment, child support and government contractors
calculation of overtime
compensable working time
enforcement and litigation
a question-and-answer session
The full-day seminar costs $329 per person; Indiana Chamber members receive a discounted price of $299.
To register to attend, visit www.indianachamber.com or call (317) 264-6885 or 1-800-824-6885.
