The 45th annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations were announced in a live, online video stream from WTHI-TV.
WTHI-TV earned two Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Ohio Valley Chapter. The CBS affiliate and LIN Television station received the nominations for Continuous Coverage of the 2008 Wabash Valley flood and Station Excellence.
“I am so proud of the entire News 10 team,” said Susan Dinkel, WTHI-TV news director. “These categories are extremely tough to compete in and to be nominated for both … means the world.”
There were 588 entries received, representing more than 40 different organizations in the Ohio Valley region. Entries are judged against a standard of excellence and do not compete against each other. There were 219 Emmy Award nominations this year. A complete list of all nominees is available at www.ohiovalleyemmy.org.
The awards will be presented at a gala event in Lexington, Ky., on July 25.
