Terre Haute attorney Tony Tanoos has recently earned membership in the national Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Tanoos is a partner in the law firm of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin, which is based at 201 Ohio St. in Terre Haute.
The California-based Million Dollar Advocates Forum is considered one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Its membership is limited to attorneys who have won million-dollar and multimillion-dollar verdicts, awards and settlements. Fewer than 1 percent of the nation’s attorneys — approximately 3,000 total — are members.
To receive certification, Forum members must have acted as principal counsel in at least one case in which their client received a verdict, award or settlement of $1 million or more.
The Forum was founded in 1993, and acknowledges excellence in advocacy and provides members with a national network of experienced colleagues for professional referral and the exchange of information during major cases.
Tanoos, a Terre Haute native, is a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and the Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis. He handles cases in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury, Social Security disability and criminal law.
