West Central Community Hospital’s name officially changed to Union Hospital Clinton on Monday. Union Hospital assumed operational responsibility of West Central Community Hospital in 1996.
Union Hospital purchased the hospital in 2006.
“We feel this name further demonstrates our commitment to provide this community with the highest level of medical care,” said David Doerr, Union Hospital president and chief executive officer.
“Our name has changed. Our ability to provide exceptional services and technology will continue to grow,” said Terri Hill, Union Hospital Clinton administrator. “We’ve recently expanded our Emergency Department, added telemedicine and a hospitalist program, upgraded our imaging equipment and will be installing digital mammography equipment in the coming months,” stated Hill.
The hospital is working on new a new logo design and signage and will be updating hospital materials in the next several months.
