A workshop titled “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” by Franklin Covey will be staged 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday and on May 11, 18 and 25 in the Edgar County Bank & Trust at 177 W. Wood St., Paris, Ill.
Based on the best-selling book by the same name, this four-morning workshop experience provides the foundation to strengthen the human side of performance at the managerial and organizational levels.
The Seven Habits course equips participants with the tools and skills to improve performance and results by working together at the highest levels of effectiveness and teamwork.
Participants discover how to break ineffective behaviors and tendencies; create high levels of trust, unity, synergy; develop strong relationships; take initiative and responsibility; build win-win business relationships; communicate effectively; value diversity; and practice continuous improvement.

--Habit 3 – Put First Things First; Living an Effective Life in Quadrant II; The Time Management Matrix
--Habit 4 – Think Win-Win; The Six Paradigms of Human Interaction; Four Dimensions of Win-Win and Win-Win Re-scripting
--Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood; The Challenge of Communication and the Skill of Empathy
--Habit 6 – Synergize; The Process of Synergizing/Valuing the Differences; Creating a Third Alternative
--Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw; Personal Production Capability and Principle-Centered Living
The cost is $535 per person before reimbursement; the price after reimbursement is $267.50 per person.
Eligible manufacturers could qualify for grant funds to reimburse up to 50 percent of the tuition.
