Jon Holloway resigns as Director of Golf for City of Terre Haute

Staff report

TERRE HAUTE — Jon Holloway, Director of Golf and head golf pro at Hulman Links Golf Course, has resigned in order to accept a position locally in the private sector. Holloway departs after working a combined 24 years at William S. Rea Golf Course and Hulman Links. Holloway’s resignation is effective Feb. 23.

“On behalf of the City of Terre Haute and the Park Board I want to thank Jon for 24 years of immeasurable service and dedication,” said Park Superintendent Greg Ruark.

“I have always admired Jon’s forward thinking and ability to make difficult decisions. I am happy for him both personally and professionally and wish him all the success. These will be difficult shoes to fill.”

Ruark indicated a search for Holloway’s replacement will begin immediately. Hulman Links and Rea Park are scheduled to open March 1.

“It may be unrealistic to think we can have a replacement in time for the new season, but the process should not take too long.” said Ruark.
