ISU plans hearing on proposed tuition/fees increase

TERRE HAUTE —

Indiana State University will conduct a public hearing at 2 p.m. June 4 to receive input on a proposed 1.95 percent increase in student tuition and mandatory fees for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years.

The proposed increase includes a 2 percent increase in tuition for resident and non-resident students in each of the next two academic years with no increase in the Student Recreation Center fee, resulting in the overall

proposed increase in tuition and mandatory fees of 1.95 percent.

For an Indiana resident enrolled full-time, the recommended tuition and mandatory student fees for 2013-14 would increase by $79 per semester to $4,128.

The hearing will be conducted in the State Room of Tirey Hall. University officials will provide a brief overview of  the budget process and the tuition adjustment before opening the floor for public comments. Each individual is asked to limit comments to three minutes or less.
