Jake Owen coming to Hulman Center in September

TERRE HAUTE — Nashville recording artists Jake Owen and the Eli Young Band will perform in concert Sept. 13 in Hulman Center at Terre Haute, according to the concert calendar website

More information is to be announced, states Owen’s website,, next to a Sept. 13 concert date in Terre Haute.

The Eli Young Band’s concert listing on their website,, confirms that they and The Cadillac Three will join Owen on The Days of Gold Tour on the September date in Hulman Center.

The Cadillac Three website,, also lists a Sept. 13 concert date with Jake Owen in Terre Haute.

“We are not ready to confirm the date to the public yet,” said Jennifer Cook, assistant director of business marketing for Hulman Center, in an email this afternoon.


Singer-songwriter Owen “has crafted Barefoot Blue Jean Night as one of the most innovative and refreshing country collections of the year,” states Owens’ bio on his website. “The CD’s title tune is already exploding as the biggest hit of Owen’s career to date.”

Owen previously enjoyed major-league success with such performances as 2006’s “Startin’ with Me,” 2008’s “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You,” and 2009’s “Eight Second Ride.”

“His revival of ‘Life in a Northern Town’ with Sugarland and Little Big Town in 2008 earned him Grammy and CMA Award nominations. Owen was named 2009’s Top New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music,” states Owen’s website.

The Eli Young Band scored its first No. 1 hit with “Crazy Girl” with the 2011 release of the band’s Republic Nashville debut, “Life at Best,” states the band’s bio page. The double platinum single became the No. 1 most-played country song of the year on Billboard’s 2011 year-end chart and earned the Eli Young Band the ACM award for Song of the Year, according to the webpage.

“The band’s next single, ‘Even If It Breaks Your Heart,’ became their second No. 1 and was certified platinum. It earned the band Grammy nods for Best Duo/Group Performance and for Best Country Song as well as Single of the Year and Song of the Year nominations from both the CMA and ACM,” according to the webpage, which also references Eli Young Band’s second Republic Nashville album, “10,000 Towns.”

Members of The Cadillac Three, formally The Cadillac Black, include native Nashvillians Jaren Johnston, Neil Mason and Kelby Ray. They have been friends and musical co-conspirators since they were kids. Johnston co-wrote Keith Urban’s No.1 single , “You Gonna Fly.” Their new single, “The South,” is on sale now.
