TERRE HAUTE —
A Terre Haute man was seriously injured in a crash this morning on Interstate 70 in Putnam County.
Indiana State Police at Putnamville report that Scott A. Dixon, 55, was transported by ambulance to Terre Haute Regional Hospital with head, chest, internal and upper extremity injuries. Dixon was expected to be transferred by air to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Master Trooper Jason Schoffstall reports that Dixon was driving an eastbound 2007 Chevrolet van that slid on an icy bridge, traveling through the median and striking the trailer of a westbound box trailer. The driver of the box trailer was not injured.
