Musical ministry coming to Hippodrome Sunday for concert sponsored by local religious groups

TERRE HAUTE — Indianapolis singer-songwriter Sarah Bauer, who has sung her message all over the world to audiences of all ages, will bring her musical ministry to Terre Haute for a performance Sunday in the historic Scottish Rite Temple Hippodrome.

Bauer will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Hippodrome, the nation’s oldest-standing vaudeville theater, at 727 Ohio St.

Tickets will cost $10 at the door, but are $8 through early-bird sales online at

The event is organized by the Terre Haute Deanery, Acquire the Fire Vocations Committee and Terre Haute Catholic Youth Ministry.

Bauer sang at World Youth Day 2005 in Germany and recorded “All Access,” the theme of the Franciscan Youth Conferences.

Her ministry is to challenge her listeners, particularly the young, to recognize God’s plan for their lives.

In early 2006, after writing and recording “All Access,” she teamed up once again with Sansone to begin writing her third album, “Radiance.” As a precursor to the writing and production of “Radiance,” she immersed herself in another creative endeavor: the launch of a video magazine, In an introduction to the magazine, Sarah calls the project a “reality show” of sorts — an insider’s peek into her music ministry.

Among the videos is a four-part series examining the four different vocations, with the end goal of writing a song. In each of the videos, Sarah spends the day with someone living out his or her unique walk in life. This experience led to the writing of the title track of “Radiance,” and the album was completed in 2007.
