LTC Fall Concert Nov. 22

The Lincoln Trail College Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band and Statesmen Singers will present their fall concert at 7 p.m. on Nov. 22 in Zwermann Arts Theater at the college in Robinson, Ill.

The concert, themed “Viva Verdi!,” celebrates the 200th birthday of Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, and includes a special appearance by the Concert Choir, performing Verdi’s famous opera chorus, “Va, pensiero.”

Other musical highlights include selections from “Jurassic Park,” performed by the Concert Band; new settings of “America the Beautiful” and “Deck the Halls,” sung by the Statesmen Singers; and a selection of jazz standards, including one by Verdi, performed by the Jazz Band.

The Concert Band, Concert Choir and Statesmen Singers are under the direction of Jeshua Franklin. The Jazz Band is directed by Ken Strieby.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. They can be purchased by calling the Performing Arts Office at 618-544-8657, ext. 1433, or at the door.
