Parks annual pancake breakfast this weekend

TERRE HAUTE — The Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department will host the 27th annual Pancake Breakfast at the Fowler Park Log Barn from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Adults will be served pancakes, sausage patties, pure maple syrup and a drink for $5, and ages 6 and younger eat for $2.

During breakfast hours, the pioneer village and gift shop will be open to visitors. Maple syrup can be purchased at the event, if available.  

The sugar camp at Prairie Creek Park is open throughout February whenever the sap is flowing and the staff is cooking. Visitors are always welcome. Call 812-898-2279 before traveling, and staff will advise if they are cooking.

Fowler Park is seven miles south of Interstate 70 off U.S. 41. Prairie Creek Park is four miles south of Fowler off U.S. 41.
