Old Post Bluegrass Jam Sunday in Vincennes

VINCENNES — Vincennes University’s Beckes Student Union will come alive with the sound of fiddles, banjoes, mandolins and guitars during the 13th Annual Old Post Bluegrass Jam from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m on Sunday.

The event features acoustic musicians in live jam sessions throughout the building, open to all area musicians.

As one of the first jams of the year, Bill Stedman, longtime organizer event, said the event draws musicians from a large geographic area.

In addition to jams throughout the building, there will also be three groups performing on stage in the Food Court, including Mariah Creek at 1 p.m., State Line at 2:30, and the Hawf Family String Band at 3:45.

The student union is at 1101 N. Second St., and free parking is available on the Third Street side of the building.

Food and beverages will be available in the Grinder’s Coffee Shop beginning at 7:30 a.m. and the Food Court beginning at 10:30 a.m.
