‘The Cupcake Caper’ mystery dinner set

PALESTINE, ILL — The Palestine Academic Foundation and Palestine High School Drama Club are teaming up to present a mystery dinner “The Cupcake Caper” on Feb. 23 in the Jerome Jochim Gymnasim on Main Street in Palestine, Ill. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with dinner served by A Taste of Country.


In “The Cupcake Caper,” a young man, Logan, is extremely excited about the upcoming night. He plans to surprise his girlfriend, Jessie, with a romantic proposal at the park where they met. However, his plans are crushed when he discovers the carefully selected engagement ring is missing. Who took the ring? Will Logan ever see the ring again? Is the engagement doomed to never happen? Prior to the crime being solved, the audience will have the opportunity to turn in ballots with their speculations about who is guilty and why.

Cast members are Drew Halter, Tanner Miller, Bailey Weger, Marti Steadman, Breanna Tedford and Mikki Miller. The director is Susan Hyde, Drama Club sponsor.

Tickets for the dinner and show are $15 and may be purchased at The Rocking Horse in Palestine, First Robinson Savings Bank in Robinson, Ill., Foundation & Drama Club members, and both school offices.
