Step back in time at Pioneer Village’s annual Christmas Walk

TERRE HAUTE — The Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department will host the 29th annual Pioneer Village Christmas Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Fowler Park. The public is invited to join the village folk and park staff as they step back in time and prepare for the Christmas season.

Visitors are asked to dress warm and bring flashlights. The Pioneer Village paths will be lit by lanterns and firelight coming from the cabin hearths.

The village gift shop will be open with many homemade and old-fashioned items suitable for Christmas gifts. For a small fee visitors can enjoy a carriage ride in the village or refreshments in the log barn. Sleigh bells will be ringing.

Admission is free. Fowler Park is south of Terre Haute off of U.S. 41. For additional information call 812-462-3392.
