LTC plans auditions for productions

ROBINSON, Ill. — “Almost Maine” and “Les Misérables” will be the 2013-2014 theater productions at Lincoln Trail College.

John Cariani’s “Almost, Maine” is nine short plays dealing with falling in and out of love. The play made its off-Broadway debut in 2006. “Almost, Maine” requires as many as 19 actors. Auditions will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 26 and 27 in the Zwermann Arts Center Theater. The performances will be Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 19.

LTC’s spring production, a musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönber, is based on Victor Hugo’s novel, “Les Misérables.” The musical opened in 1985 in London’s and in 1987 on Broadway.  The Broadway production won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Score. Auditions will be Jan. 21 and 22, 2014, with performances March 28, 29 and 30 and April 4, 5 and 6.
