At the grandstand: Rodeo, monster trucks, demo derby, tractor pull

---- — The Vigo County Fair runs Sunday through July 13 at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds on U.S. 41 South in Terre Haute.

The grandstand entertainment kicks off at 7 p.m. Sunday with the Boot City Championship IPRA Rodeo. The rodeo will include bull riding, bareback and saddle bronco riding, roping, team roping, steer wrestling and barrel racing. The rodeo begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for ages 12 and younger.

Monday and July 13 will feature the Demolition Derby presented by Andrews Towing; competitions are at 7 p.m. each day. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for ages 12 and younger.

Tuesday will feature The Vocalist presented by the Conservatory of Music and FTC Productions. The solo singing competition will feature the top 10 finalists performing live on stage. The judges will narrow the field to the top three, and the crowd will vote for the winner. Tickets are $5.

The Terre Haute Action Track is scheduled to be in full swing with the UMP Late Model Summer Nationals and UMP Modified on Wednesday. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Ticket prices will vary.

July 11 will mark the return of the All Star Monster Trucks presented by Terre Haute Auto & Equipment. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for ages 12 and younger.

July 12 will be the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League-Truck and Tractor Pull presented by Beck’s Hybrids. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for ages 12 and under. Additional details on this event including entry information can be found at www.pro

Tickets to all the grandstand events will be sold the day of the event at the fairgrounds ticket office, which will open at 4:30 p.m.

Visit the Rick’s Smokehouse & Grill and Pepsi free stage; also free will be entertainment under the Forrest Sherer Outdoor Pavilion.
