Cookies and Canvas at Allen Chapel

For the first time in Terre Haute, kid Picassos can create their own masterpieces at a Cookies and Canvas event scheduled 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 in the lower level of Allen Chapel at Third and Crawford streets.

Children ages 7 or younger must be accompanied by a parent during the session. All parents are welcome to stay during the session and browse silent auction items.

Adults will have to wait until Oct. 2 for Wine and Canvas in the Dawgleg Restaurant and Banquet Center at Idle Creek Golf Course, 5353 Eldridge Road. Another silent auction is planned during the 6 to 9 p.m. session.

At the end of each session, participants will take home the finished works of art they created. All materials, including aprons, will be provided, and an artist/instructor will guide them every step of the way. Cost is $25 per child; for Wine and Canvas, $40 per adult.
