Dream Dinner Auction to benefit Terre Haute Humane Society

---- — Participants can be a part of helping furry friends find their “dream homes” at the Terre Haute Humane Society’s fifth annual Dream Dinner Auction.

It will take place from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the Idle Creek Banquet Center. “Cat tail hour” will be 5 to 7 p.m., followed by dinner, then live and silent auctions.

Auction items include:

• six-day, six-night African safari for two

• seven-day, seven-night Ireland trip for up to six people

• one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry created by Niles Newton

• signed Steve Weatherford football and picture

• signed Mutts comic and print

• two signed and numbered Bob Bonn prints

• two original Omar “Salty” Seamon pencil sketches

• pet houses decorated by local artists

• Lexi Ryan-autographed books

• 1990 Indiana Ducks Unlimited print

• Greek dinner served in winner’s home

• retired Longaberger baskets

There will also be a raffle for a $500 Baesler’s gift card.
