Race for All Races celebrates diversity Sept. 21

The 11th annual Race for All Races will take place on Sept. 21 at the Indiana State Museum/Canal in downtown Indianapolis.

The Race for All Races is a family friendly 5K run/walk and a one-mile walk that brings people of all races and backgrounds together.

Asian American Alliance Inc. presents the event to celebrate the growing ethnic diversity in Indianapolis, and invites everyone to join. A portion of the proceeds from the race will fund high school student scholarships. To date, the Asian American Alliance has awarded more than 100 scholarships totaling more than $60,000 to students.

Dance Kaleidoscope will kick off the event with a warm-up exercise at 8:40 a.m. The opening ceremony will follow immediately afterward, and the 5K run/walk and one-mile walk will begin at 9.

Advance registration is $25, or $15 for a team of 10 or more. Day-of registration is $30. Register for the Race for All Races at www.tuxbro.com.

Asian American Alliance Inc. is a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower Asian Americans to serve and lead in communities and businesses.
