Dinner to benefit Clay Skate Park Oct.19

News Release

---- — An all-you-can-eat Country Rhodes dinner to benefit the Clay Community Skate Park will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds Building, 6650 Indiana 59.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $5.50 for children under 12, for a dinner that includes fish, shrimp, chicken strips, sides and drinks. Desserts will be sold separately.

The skate park officially opened on Sept. 21 after six years of fundraising and planning. Children skate or bike at the skate park daily, after having waited for the facility for years. A Skate Park Council of young skaters is also being formed. The council will do community work, keep the skate park clean and in good order, and schedule special days when older skaters and bikers will teach tricks to younger ones.
