Bowling Green Old Settlers will celebrate its 145th annual picnic on Aug. 22-24 on the square in Bowling Green. Each day will feature arts and crafts booths, flea markets and bounce houses.
Planned activities include:
Thursday: Ribeye dinner under the awning at 5 p.m.; bingo for Longaberger, Pampered Chef and other assorted prizes in the Community Building, speedball games beginning at 6:30 p.m., regular bingo at 7 p.m.; and D.J. Dave Amerman will perform from 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday: Jonah fish fry at 4 p.m. in the Community Building; Heavyweight Horse Pull at 7:30 p.m.; and on stage, Nightingales at 6 p.m., Jared Wells at 7:30 p.m. and Clay City High School Band at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday: Masonic Lodge breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. in the Community Building; Baby, Toddler and Little Miss contests at 9:30 a.m.; chicken noodle dinner at 4 p.m. in the Community Building; Antique Tractor Pull at 7:30 p.m.; and on stage, James Family Singers at 6 p.m., Chris Anderson at 7:30 p.m. and Cornfields and Crossroads at 8:30 p.m.
