Winery plans ‘Death of Duck Dynasty’ for next dinner theater Oct. 12

News Release

---- — Castle Finn Winery is planning its next Murder Mystery Dinner for Oct. 12. The theme is “Death of Duck Dynasty.”

Cost is $40 per person and includes hors d’oeurves, dinner, dessert and the show. Alcohol is sold separately. The last day to purchase tickets is Oct. 5 unless they are sold out before that date.

The menu includes beef tips with mushrooms and gravy, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, California blend, layered pea salad and a dinner roll.

Hors d’oeurves start at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m. Actors mingle with the audience to select participants for the show.

Dinner is after the first act. Dessert is after the second act, during which time the audience votes on “who did” the murder. The third act is a recap of what has taken place and the murderer is identified.

Meals are catered by McDaniels Catered Elegance, Paris, Ill. Seating is limited; advance reservations are encouraged.

Call Castle Finn Winery at 217-463-2600 and be prepared to pay with a credit card or stop by Castle Finn to make reservations and pay with cash or check.

Wine sampling is free in the tasting room. Guests can purchase a bottle or glass of wine or beer/liquor during the program and the meal.

During this advance time, the evening’s actors may mingle with the crowd and seek volunteers to play some of the short parts. This is voluntary and adds to a hilarious evening when guests and friends get a chance to showcase their talents or even flubs.
