Children’s author to share her story Nov. 5 at Rockville Library

News Release

---- — Author Eva Dunavan will speak and sign books at Rockville Public Library on at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5. She has written “Red Harvest Moon,” “The Antics of Naughty Paige Pelican” and “Run, Buddy, Run.” All are children’s books.

Dunavan recently shared her story of becoming an author with Parke Vermillion Retired Teachers. She has been a member of the group since retiring from teaching.

Dunavan and her husband, Joe, reside on an east-central Illinois farm. Her farm experience and their travels inspire her story ideas.

She has a master’s degree from the University of Illinois and a diploma from the Institute of Children’s Literature in Redding, Conn. She has taught for 36 years (kindergarten to seventh grade) and understands the importance of children understanding boundaries in relationships.

Choices and consequences are showcased in her stories. With a touch of humor, she develops her characters; and they model concepts of loving, sharing, caring and learning to establish boundaries.

The program is free. For more information call 765-569-5544.
